In 2017 September, I took up a global art challenge for 30 paintings in 30 days. I didn't have a theme initially but all I know was, I'm going to play around with the idea of three set of complementary colors. On the first day of Sept, I woke up with an image of pop artist Andy Warhol in mind and the rest was history. This is how 30 Portraits was born.
Everyday, I woke up with a person in mind to paint. I studied their features, their personalities, drawing and painting to the best of my ability to let their character shine. The more I studied them, the more I'm marveled by God's creation. Every human being is so precious and we are His masterpieces of work!
Life is precious and valuable, let's celebrate one another's talents. I hope 30 Portraits inspire you to cultivate a culture of honor and to look for the best in humanity, while living in an imperfect world.
This series has since sparked some deep and thought-provoking conversations with my clients and guests thus far. All people end up somewhere in life, but few end up at the narrow path on purpose.
